Safeguarding

Safeguarding

Safeguarding for our children and adults is a cornerstone of our club. Our policy ensures we do everything within our power to make sure people taking part in football here do so safely.

This is especially relevant to children and young people and other people who are classed as vulnerable. We work closely with the West Riding FA to maintain our policies, procedures and best practice.

If you have any concerns, please contact our club on info@carltonathletic.co.uk or Child Welfare Officer for Boys, Emma Ayrton, 07506 119 448 and eayrton82@gmail.com or Child Welfare Office for Girls, Michelle Poucher, 0750 500 6657 and m_gummer@hotmail.com

For guidance and support on safeguarding issues anyone can also contact the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000 and children can get help, advice, support or just talk to someone in safety and complete confidence at Childline by calling free on 0800 1111 or in one of the many other ways – see here at Childline.

Our policies in partnership with The FA:

Inclusion

Football is for all.

Any form of discrimination is not right and it’s not welcome at Carlton, in football or society. We are proud to have achieved Kick It Out Equality Chartered Club status and will continue to support the great work going on nationally to make sure football is for all and everyone is treated equally.

Our home ground is accessible for most people whether they are able bodied or require additional help. We have dedicated disabled parking spaces and the path from there to the pitch is one a slope. The pitch is surrounded by grass, but in most weather is accessible via wheelchair.

We have railings around the pitch for support if required and anyone with additional needs are welcome to contact the club for assistance and we will help wherever it is possible.
